Tsa rfp Form: What You Should Know

The new RFP seeks to expand PreCheck enrollment by allowing those currently enrolled in TSA PreCheck, and who meet  the qualifications for the program, to participate in an expanded version of the PreCheck program by increasing  the number of checkpoints participating in the program from 50 to 100. The new RFP builds upon the TSA PreCheck  Expedited/Enhanced eligibility process that allows eligible travelers to participate in TSA's most expedited and  eligibility screening program. The primary objective of the RFP, which includes both a competitive and non-competitive scope, is to  increase the diversity and size of the PreCheck membership and thereby expand TSA's capacity and  ability to respond more efficiently to evolving terrorist threats to aviation. The additional PreCheck  participants will be screened as part of the TSA PreCheck program and may be selected based on a  risk-based approach using the criteria set forth in the RFP.  The RFP will begin with a public call for proposals at TSA headquarters in Washington, D.C.  On July 1, 2016, and will be open until October 31, 2016. In accordance with federal contracting regulations for public sector agencies, TSA will  expedite the procurement process through the use of a competitive, non-compete clause. All TSA personnel  affiliated with the solicitation will be required to sign and abide by this clause from their time  of assignment at the airport to the time of selection. TSA will enter into an Agreement with the Selected Business (SEB) to provide PreCheck services for the  selected SEB.  SEB stands for Selected Business Operation. It is the TSA's process to manage its PreCheck business and to  ensure that it meets TSA's objectives for delivering services for the benefit of the US public. The selection SEB  will ensure that the selected SEB has the ability to deliver services at all TSA checkpoints across the  U.S. This selection will also ensure that a select pool of PreCheck eligible travelers will be participating  in enhanced security at these checkpoints. The contract will be awarded to the SEB upon the successful conclusion  of the non-competition stage.
